Criminal Law: Fraud

Fraud involves a deception, and in many jurisdictions, the intent to use that deception for some sort of (e.g. financial) gain. Some common examples of fraud that plague consumers today are stolen credit cards and advance-fee scams. Mail fraud and wire fraud, typically more serious than common fraud, involve use of the postal and telecommunications systems.
